#Melissa DeRosa targets Andrew Cuomo accusers in tweet

This “mean girl” is loyal — to a fault.

Melissa DeRosa, ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top aide, lashed out at his accusers in a vicious tweet Thursday night that she later deleted.

“about those ‘victims’…aka witness tamperers & self-described ‘Cuomo’s Hoes,’” she wrote, linking to a news report on the latest release of testimony in the investigation of her former boss by Attorney General Letitia James’ office.

DeRosa — who’s stuck by Cuomo since he was forced to resign over a sexual harassment scandal — testified during a probe into the allegations that she heard him refer to her and several other aides as the “mean girls” in his office.

Last year, The Post exclusively revealed that DeRosa was recorded secretly admitting to Democratic lawmakers that Cuomo’s administration covered up the nursing home death toll from COVID-19 out of fear it would be “be used against us” by federal prosecutors.

Her Thursday night Twitter attack followed the latest release of evidence from the probe that led James to accuse Cuomo of sexually harassing 11 women, including nine current or former state employees.

DeRosa included a link to an Albany Times Union report that said four female Cuomo aides — including Brittany Commisso, who’s accused him of groping her in December 2020 — allegedly engaged in a group text chat named “Cuomo’s Hoes.”

That assertion came from the ex-husband of one woman, who told investigators, “I don’t have proof of this.”

DeRosa’s “witness tamperers” remark appeared aimed at former state economic development official Lindsey Boylan, whose allegations against Cuomo sparked his sex harassment scandal.

Last week, Cuomo lawyer Rita Glavin alleged that James “had evidence that Ms. Boylan was tampering with a witness” when she sent an encrypted, self-destructing text message that “threatened” Empire State Development CEO Howard Zemsky.

Boylan’s lawyer responded by accusing Cuomo and Glavin of “continuing their smear campaign of Ms. Boylan to punish her for being the first of multiple women to expose the governor’s misconduct.”

During an interview broadcast Thursday on Albany public radio network WAMC, Glavin was asked if Cuomo — who denies any wrongdoing — planned to sue any of his accusers for alleged defamation.

“I’ll tell you this: The governor has asked me to look at all of his legal options and I’m doing that right now,” she said.

“And I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but this has been terribly, terribly frustrating.”
