In the wake of Grant Imahara’s death, Discovery and Science Channel will have a “Mythbusters” marathon from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Imahara died Monday at 49 from a brain aneurysm. The engineer and roboticist co-hosted the popular science show from 2005 to 2014, for over 200 episodes.

The show tests and debunks commonly held scientific notions and rumors based on pop culture. The eight episodes in the marathon will include Imahara’s favorites, such as testing whether a hotel room shower curtain can be converted into a parachute.

The marathon will also include “Killer Robots: Robo Games 2011,” in which Imahara served as tour guide through the International Robogames Competition, following everyday engineers. That will air at 3 p.m. Saturday on the Science Channel.

Following the news of his sudden passing, his “Mythbusters” co-hosts and colleagues took to social media to express shock, sadness and pay tribute.

“I just cannot believe it. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy,” Tory Belleci tweeted, along with a picture of the duo.

Host Kari Byron posted, “Heartbroken and in shock tonight. We were just talking on the phone. This isn’t real.”

Adam Savage, the original Mythbuster, tweeted, “I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”
