Megan Thee Stallion announced on Friday (June 17) that Hot Girl Summer has officially started.

As reported by TMZ, The Houston rap star was spotted in Ibiza on a yacht partying it up with boyfriend Pardison Fontaine and a few close friends.

A day in the sun is likely just what Meg needs as her criminal trial against Tory Lanez creeps closer. In an intimate interview with Rolling Stone, Meg said she wants to see the Toronto rapper go “under the jail” for allegedly shooting her in the foot in 2020.

“I want him to go to jail,” she told the outlet. “I want him to go under the jail,” adding, ‘I feel like you’ve already tried to break me enough. You’ve already shot me. So, why are you dragging it out like this? Like, what else? Have you hated me this much the whole time and I didn’t see it?’”

Tory has been charged with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and another felony for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He has maintained his innocence while pushing back against certain details of the case. Mega told Rolling Stone the whole ordeal still gives her nightmares, not to mention the visceral hate she gets from Tory supporters online.

“​​I see people saying, ‘Damn, I would’ve shot that bitch too,’” she said. “In some kind of way I became the villain. And I don’t know if people don’t take it seriously because I seem strong. I wonder if it’s because of the way I look. Is it because I’m not light enough? Is it that I’m not white enough? Am I not the shape? The height? Because I’m not petite? Do I not seem like I’m worth being treated like a woman?”
