“Me & Roboco Gag Manga Series Receives TV Anime Adaptation”

Shuuhei Miyazaki’s comedic gag manga series Me & Roboco will be receiving a television anime adaptation. The production team posted a short announcement trailer on their Twitter page to officially confirm the news. The animation studio and production staff for the project has not yet been revealed.

A longer PV trailer introducing the manga’s characters and announcing the anime production was also uploaded on Jump Comics’s YouTube channel.

Miyazaki recently commemorated Me & Roboco’s anime announcement in the 90th chapter of his manga series, making it a particular focus for this week’s story. The manga is notable for referencing and spoofing various other Shueisha manga titles. It was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 6, 2020. Seven tankoubon volumes have been published as of May 29, 2022.

Me & Roboco can also be read on the Shonen Jump+ and MANGA Plus apps respectively. Viz Media releases the series in English for North America. They describe the manga as:

In a world where most families own a cute maid robot, average elementary kid Bondo hopes for one of his own. But the robot who shows up is anything but average! Meet Roboco—the wackiest, most powerful maid imaginable!
