It’s all about this:

A brutal wave of attacks shakes the city: the victims are always police officers who are killed by gunfire.
Since the suspicion quickly arises that the police are also behind all of this, the police tried everything to leak as little information as possible to the public. At a party attended by Conan, the Mori family, and Ran’s friend Sonoko, Inspector Sato is gunned down in front of Ran’s eyes and seriously injured. Due to the shock, Ran loses almost all memories of her family, friends and also of Conan. However, the killer is aware that Ran is a dangerous witness and that he must get rid of her as soon as possible. Ran is in mortal danger! While Takagi and Chiba take turns as their bodyguards, Conan tries to expose the perpetrator as quickly as possible and to bring Ran’s memories back …

Conclusion:

“Detective Conan – The Movie 4: The killer in their eyes” had established a new element with the memory loss of a main character, which I perceived as a fresh new idea during the many explosions in the subsequent films. It really creates more tension than when the main characters are in mortal danger, because with the latter it is clear from the beginning that the main character has to survive. Here we don’t know how Ran will regain her memory and so much more.

The film also shows some emotional and sad scenes when Ran does not recognize her own parents. The case ends with an exciting finale in which the perpetrator reveals himself in old Conan mania. The German dubbing, which was created at TV + Synchron, also impresses with its well-fitting speaker line-ups and a good mix. The dialogue direction by Ulrike Lau (Karin Lehmann’s predecessor in the films) is really convincing. The only annoying thing was that Ms. Lau wrongly had Inspector Megure addressed as Inspector; a mistake that was unfortunately taken over from the TV synchronization, but was corrected by Karin Lehmann from film 14 onwards.

The film is recommended to every anime fan, especially Conan fans who need a break from bomb explosions.
