The drama unfolded at 5:45 p.m. outside the Nathan’s on Stillwell and Surf avenues, not far from where the 104th annual Hotdog Eating Contest had been staged inside hours earlier.
Nearly 50 police officers flooded the scene following calls for assistance.
The cops tased the man after he launched at them, witnesses told The Post.
The man was cuffed and taken to Coney Island Hospital for observation, the police radio report said. The man was also placed on a stretcher and given oxygen.
No further information was immediately available.
