#Man stabbed to death on Brooklyn sidewalk Monday afternoon

A suspect knifed a man to death on a Brooklyn sidewalk in broad daylight on Monday afternoon, police said.

The unidentified suspect stabbed Jose Perez Rivera, 24, several times in the chest and arm at about 3 p.m. near Hart Street and Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick, cops said.

Rivera was rushed Elmhurst Hospital by first responders, but died a short time later, authorities said.

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, but had not been charged by early Tuesday, according to police.

It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the stabbing. An investigation into the killing is ongoing.
