#Man shot 3 times outside Queens ‘party’ building with church signs

A 26-year-old man was shot at least three times outside a Queens building that has a large sign for a church — but really houses unholy parties and lock-in gambling nights, according to irate neighbors.

The victim — identified by sources as Emmanuel Scott — was shot in the right ankle, right knee and buttocks in the attack in Astoria at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, with at least five shell-casings found, police sources said.

One eyewitness told The Post that the victim was hit as he was standing near a car outside an Astoria Boulevard building that has a large sign for the House of Prayer and Deliverance church.

As a “bunch of people” were heading in and out the building, they were jolted by the sudden “bang! bang! bang!” of gunfire, the witness said.

“Like six shots and everyone ran,” the witness, who asked not to be identified, told The Post, saying the victim was left crying on the sidewalk.

“I heard a high-pitched scream — ‘I got hit! I got hit!’” said another neighbor, who only gave his first name, Bob.

“Then a car took off real fast,” he said, saying he heard the “screech of tires” and “girls screaming” after at least “5 or 6 shots.”

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was listed as being in stable condition, NYPD sources said.

On Sunday, a large pool of blood was visible outside the building with the large church sign — along with empty bottles of Hennessey and Moët littering the surrounding streets.

There were no Sunday services at the building close to the Astoria Houses — and no answer at the heavy steel door that guards the front of the ground floor along with a high-tech security camera.

The building — next to the Reality House rehab center — has been a continued source of woe for neighbors with raucous parties every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, numerous witnesses told The Post.

“Every night it’s getting worse,” one of the witnesses to the shooting, Bob, 56, told The Post.

“They go in, they gamble, drugs — whatever they want. It starts at 9 p.m. and goes all night,” he said, complaining that the area has also become a hotspot for drug dealers.

“I want to know when the cops are going to clean this up. It’s just getting worse,” he complained.

While a large sign for the House of Prayer and Deliverance church remained on the building, property records show that it was sold two years ago.

The current owner, Juan Costa, insisted to The Post that the building’s ground floor was not being used and he had “no idea” neighbors were complaining.

“This is the first I’ve heard of it, I’m out of town — it’s just an empty space,” he insisted in a phone call.
