A New Jersey man is accused of beating his girlfriend to death with a potted plant at a long-term care facility.

Deymis Jimenez, 32, attacked a 47-year-old woman, identified in court documents as DF, Monday at the Meadow View Care Center in Monroe, according to New Jersey Advance Media.

The attack was captured by security cameras inside the organization’s common area, where the victim was watching television, according to the article.

Jimenez is seen choking the woman and pushing her to the ground before beating her to death with a tall potted plant, officials said, according to the outlet.

The suspect was reportedly charged with murder after being found in his room at the facility with bloody clothes underneath his bed.

Court records show the two had been dating for over a year, according to the report.
