#Man donning blonde wig, trench coat fatally shoots two in Brooklyn

A man in a blonde wig, blue trench coat and brandishing an AR-15 style rifle gunned down a man and a woman sitting on a stoop in East New York Saturday afternoon, police and sources said.

The shooter, wearing the unusual coat and wig, fired more than 20 rounds during the bloody incident outside of 551 Van Siclen Ave. at 12:38 p.m., sources said.

Sources identified the victims as Chioteke Thompson, 23, and Stephanie Perkins, 39. Thompson was shot once in the face and Perkins struck once in the back. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Thompson and Perkins were found slumped over on the stoop with their arms around each other, a source said, with Thompson cradling Perkins’ head.

The suspect ran northbound on Van Siclen.

Police at the scene said they recovered 23 shell casings, along with a weapon — but it’s unclear if the gun found at the scene was the one used in the killings, sources said.

One nearby apartment dweller said they heard five shots, which they mistook for firecrackers before hearing police sirens.

At least 50 nearby residents and relatives gathered at the scene, with several women sobbing and screaming, “No!” and  “I can’t! I want to die.”

“I just lost my niece, I can’t talk,” said one heartbroken man.

Another woman who declined to give her name, lamented, “This girl didn’t deserve to die like that. I just found out it’s one of my neighbor’s daughters lying there dead. It could be my child, it could be me. She seemed to be a nice person. I didn’t know her too well.”

The woman fumed: “They take away the plainclothes detectives, there is no undercover police, so that’s what you get. Only blue suits, sitting in their cars. There is a lot of drugs on this block. Two people dead, that’s unacceptable. We got babies here we gotta walk down the street. The city needs to do a lot more for this community, to make it safer for our people.”

Police were canvassing the crime scene for video evidence.
