#Man busted with large stash of fireworks in NYC

A man was busted on July Fourth after police found a large stash of illegal fireworks inside his car in the East Village, sources said.

The 31-year-old was spotted by cops allegedly handing off fireworks to another person at the corner of Avenue D and East Houston Street at about 5:30 p.m., according to sources.

The stash of pyrotechnics included mortars and other aerial displays.

The person who was receiving the fireworks was also apprehended, sources said.
