#Makeine Opening Director Directs Concept Movie for AnimeCanvas Software

A short animated concept video for the animation production software AnimeCanvas has been released.

The director, storyboard artist, and unit director of the A-1 Pictures-produced video is Takayuki Kikuchi. Their recent credits include Episode 6 of Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- and the opening of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!.

Among the other staff are:

• Character designer and chief animation director: Kento Toya (Sword Art Online: Progressive movies character designer and co-chief animation director, Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- Episode 5 storyboard artist and director)
• Sub-character designer, prop designer, and animation director: Yu Saito (Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- Episode 5 co-animation director)
• Color designer: Mana Hokuto (HYPNOSISMIC –Division Rap Battle– Rhyme Anima)
• Background art director: Risa Wakabayashi (Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian)
• Compositing director: Toshiaki Aoshima (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a)
• Animation producer: Keita Kato (Sword Art Online Alicization Episode 17 co-production assistant)

AnimeCanvas is being co-developed by A-1 Pictures, CloverWorks, Sony Music Entertainment, and Sony Group. The announcement of its development was made in May 2024 during Sony Japan’s Corporate Strategy Meeting 2024. It is intended to better production conditions and efficiency as well as to improve quality.
