#Main Trailer for Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction Previews New Footage, Theme Songs

The main trailer for the upcoming two-part Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction anime movie has been released. The new promotional video comes with a raft of new scenes and also previews the sci-fi film’s theme songs.

The first part’s theme song is “Zezezezettai Seiiki,” while the theme for the second part is “Seishun Ouka.” The former is performed by ano feat. Lilas Ikuta feat. ano, while the latter flips the credits and is sung by Lilas Ikuta feat. ano. Ikuta (aka ikura from YOASOBI) and ano are the voices of main characters Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa, respectively.

Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction‘s main trailer is a whiplash of moods, with the opening seconds presenting a sudden and devastating alien arrival before abruptly cutting to relaxed scenes of Kadode and Ouran’s high school lives. The carefree atmosphere is then upended by shots of an inhuman imposter and the death of one of Kadode and Ouran’s friends.

Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction Part 1 will premiere in Japan on March 22. Part 2 will be released the following month on April 19. The anime is based on the Shogakukan-published manga by Inio Asano, which began serialization in Big Comic Spirits in 2014 and ended in 2022 with 12 tankoubon volumes.

The Japan Self-Defense Forces are still looking for a way to combat the alien threat, but so far conventional weapons have had no effect. Maybe it’s time to try something unconventional.

Meanwhile, Kadode Koyama and her best friend avidly track the aliens’ movements on social media and less enthusiastically study for college entrance exams. When the end of the world looms overhead, you learn to take things one step at a time.
