Mafia: The Old Country launches August 8

Mafia: The Old Country will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on August 8, publisher 2K and developer Hangar 13 inadvertently announced.

The news comes via a Steam blog post about the game’s upcoming PAX East 2025 developer panel on May 8. While the English version of the blog post does not contain a release date, other language versions of the post (LATAM – archive + screenshot, Japanese, etc.) all contain the line, “Mafia: The Old Country will be available on August 8, 2025. Pre-orders are available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.”

The release date was likely meant to be announced at the PAX East 2025 developer panel, where a new gameplay trailer will premiere and Hangar 13 will share a behind the scenes look at the past, present, and future of the series.
