#LUPIN THE 3rd PART 6 Gets Fujiko Mine and Goemon Character Trailers

The upcoming LUPIN THE 3rd PART 6 anime has received character trailers for Goemon Ishikawa and Fujiko Mine. The show is set to premiere in Japan on October 9. 

Lupin the Third: Part VI is the latest anime adaptation of the late Monkey Punch’s manga series, which has spawned multiple anime TV series, films, and OVAs. There was also a live-action movie adaptation in 2014. Prior to Part VI, the most recent Lupin the Third anime were 2018’s LUPIN THE 3rd PART 5 series and 2019’s Lupin III: The First 3DCG movie.

Sentai describes Part VI as:

Gentleman thief Lupin III is back and ready for his next caper— unless legendary sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, has anything to say about it! When Holmes’ longtime partner, Dr. Watson, is murdered, none other than Lupin tops the suspects list. With Holmes fast closing in, Lupin must prove his innocence and bring a shadowy organization called The Raven to heel if he wants to live to steal another day.

The staff includes Eiji Suganuma (Lupin III: Prison of the Past co-unit director) as director, mystery author Takahiro Ōkura (Lupin the Third: Part V Ep 17 script writer) as series composer, Hiroki Marufuji (Lupin III: Prison of the Past, Lupin III: Goodbye Partner) as character designer, Hiromi Miyawaki (Lupin Sansei: Lupin Ikka Seizoroi) as color designer, Akemi Sasaki (Meiji Tokyo Renka) as photography director, and long-time Lupin III collaborator Yuji Ohno as music composer.

Additionally, Yumi Matsumiya (Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 2), Kōichirō Bizen (Food Wars! The Fifth Plate), Hiromasa Ogura (FASTENING DAYS 4), Wataru Nishizawa (Boruto: Naruto the Movie background artist), Lee Beom-seon (Lupin III: Prison of the Past, Lupin III: Goodbye Partner), and Yūsuke Takeda (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-) are the art directors. TMS Entertainment is the animation production studio.

The show also features Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell director), Masaki Tsuji (Astro Boy and Case Closed scriptwriter), mystery writer Taku Ashibe (Murder in the Red Chamber), novelist Akio Higuchi (Me No Mae Ni Shika No Hanaiki), and author Kanae Minato (Confessions) as guest writers.
