#Ludacris Salutes Jeezy For One Of His ‘Favorite Lines In Hip Hop’

Ludacris has never been afraid to give props to fellow rappers who have inspired him, and over the weekend he made sure to shout out Jeezy for having one of his “favorite lines in Hip Hop.”

In a video posted to Luda’s Instagram page on Saturday (January 27), the pair appeared to be backstage at an event in Houston, Texas. While Jeezy sipped on some red wine, the “Move Bitch” hitmaker proceeded to give him his flowers.

“I tell n-ggas all the time, one of my favorite lines in Hip Hop period,” Luda says to the camera, before rapping: “Minus the bullshit life’s great/ Just put a camera on the peach in my license plate.” The lyric is from Jeezy’s “Get Ya Mind Right.”

Ludacris then pans the camera to reveal Jeezy with his wine. “I called this n-gga right here and said: ‘I love that line.’”

He added: “I’m a Jeezy fan. I’m letting y’all know that shit right fucking now.”

Luda has always been an outspoken ambassador for his favorite performances in rap.

In a 2017 interview with GQ, the rapper explained that Cam’ron’s verse on “The Roc (Just Fire)” featuring Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek was possibly his favorite 16 bars in the history of Hip Hop.

Earlier in January it was revealed that Ludacris will be getting his own series on BET that will be inspired by his DJ beginnings.  The currently untitled project is set to be a 30-minute dramedy based on Luda’s early career as DJ Chris Lova Lova in Atlanta.

According to the network, “the series follows the misadventures of a sharply drawn ensemble who are willing to do anything and everything to bolster ratings at their hip hop radio station.”

Luda is on board as a producer and will also act as music supervisor on the show. Comedian Noah Gardenswartz, best known for his work on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, will write the show while Larry Wilmore, Malcolm D. Lee and Luda’s manager Chaka Zulu are also on board as producers.

The project comes under the Universal banner with whom Ludacris has a 20-year relationship thanks to the Fast & Furious series. The “Act a Fool” rapper first played Tej Parker in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious and has since reprised the character in six more installments.
