#LOVE of KILL Begins January 12, New Trailer and Visual Released

The LOVE of KILL assassin anime is set to premiere on January 12. A new trailer and visual, as well as additional cast details, have been released.

The newly announced cast members include Ayumu Murase as Jinon, Masakazu Morita as Nikka, and Yoko Hikasa as Mifa. All three characters belong to the organization of Donald Bachmann/Donny, who is described as an individual who takes in war orphans who are then trained to be his subordinates. 

The new trailer includes a preview of the ending song “Makoto Period” by Aika Kobayashi.

LOVE of KILL is based on the manga series by Fe, which began in 2015 and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of July 2021. The manga is serialized in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic GENE magazine and published under the MF Comics label.

Two assassins face off at a certain “workplace.” The cool bounty hunter Chateau and the mysterious and powerful Ryang-Ha. Chateau and Ryang-Ha become enemies after this fight—at least, they should have, but for some reason Ryang-Ha takes a liking to Chateau and begins following her around. Little by little, Chateau develops a cooperative partnership with Ryang-Ha, which gets her caught up in the struggle against the organizations hunting him down. Furthermore, that battle is related to her past as well. Why did Ryang-Ha approach Chateau? What is Chateau’s secret past? Two mismatched assassins weave together a twisted “Assassin X Assassin” thriller. The strange gears of fate begin to move.

The anime’s main staff includes Hideaki Ohba as director, Ayumu Hisao as series composer and scriptwriter, Youko Satou as character designer, Toshimitsu Kobayashi as sub-character designer, Satou and Kobayashi as chief animation directors, Yasunori Saiki as action animation director, Masaki Mayuzumi as art director, and Aiko Yamagami as color designer. All of them worked on 2021’s Dr. Ramune -Mysterious Disease Specialist-. Love of Kill also shares the same animation production company, Platinum Vision. .

Other staff members include Akane Fushihara (Sonny Boy) as photography director and Kei Yoshikawa (Mobile Suit Gundam AGE: Memory of Eden) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Saori Oonishi as Chateau Dankworth, Hiro Shimono as Son Ryang-ha, Kenyuu Horiuchi as Euripedes Ritzland, Kouhei Amasaki as Jim, Tomoaki Maeno as Hou, and Houchu Ohtsuka as Donny.
