Lonnie Holley has shared the second single from his forthcoming album, Oh Me Oh My. “I Am A Part Of The Wonder,” a joint cut with Moor Mother, follows the record’s Michael Stipe-featuring lead offering and title track, a certified Song You Need.

Today’s single (February 8), like its predecessor, is as much a mantra as it is a song in the traditional sense. Holley sings the titular refrain, developing its meaning into a zen message of oneness. Moor Mother joins later with a welcoming whisper: “If you’re lonely let me know.” The song continues to expand in scope both lyrically and sonically, moving from a childlike, minimalist simplicity to a texturally rich wisdom — demonstrating the self-evident truth that these mindstates are, after all, two sides of the same coin.
