#Long Island man steals tractor, crashes into Target: cops

A Long Island man’s Christmas morning shopping spree wasn’t exactly a smashing success.

Police said a 33-year-old Deer Park man got behind the wheel of a 2010 Bobcat tractor parked at a Bay Shore shopping center and drove through the front doors of a local Target store.

Justin Shuffle then allegedly drove back outside, parked the tractor, and walked back into the store — where police said he went on a mini-shoplifting spree.

When cops showed up shortly before 2 a.m. they nabbed Shuffle in the electronics department with a $78 coat and a handful of Target gift cards, cops said.

“It’s a very brazen act to use a piece of power construction equipment to break the door of a store,” Suffolk County Police Sgt. Jeffrey Walker told The Post Thursday.

“It seems like there really wasn’t a big plan here,” Walker said. “It looked like this was a one-shot deal.”

Shuffle was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned Christmas morning in First District Court in Central Islip, police said.

It was not clear if he was ordered held on bail, but the two charges are not eligible for bond under that state’s criminal justice reform law, police said.

A call to Shuffle’s home was not returned.
