The “Truth Hurts” artist made her Saturday Night Live debut in 2019 during an episode that was hosted by comedy legend Eddie Murphy. She performed hits such as 2017’s “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell” but also made an appearance in an online-only skit that was unfortunately cut from the live airing.
Sandwiched between Lizzo and Gunna’s episodes find pop star Camila Cabello taking the SNL stage on April 9 with actor Jake Gyllenhaal playing host. He’s currently promoting Ambulance, where he stars in the heist-themed film, as does Wale.
Gunna has enjoyed a healthy mainstream ascension in 2022 behind the release of his DS4Ever album, which beat out The Weeknd for No. 1 atop the Billboard 200 in January with 150,300 total album-equivalent units earned.
The Atlanta native alongside mentors Young Thug and Future earned the first gold plaque for a 2022-released single with “Pushin P” earlier in March.
To catch Gunna’s flamboyant fashion choices, tune into SNL on April 2 at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
