#Little Shark’s Day Out Reveals New Chibi Godzilla Collaboration Visual

New collaboration visuals have been released for the Little Shark’s Day Out and Chibi Godzilla short anime series. 

The short series first aired on August 1, 2023 and ended on May 10, 2024. A follow-up series has been announced. All 60 episodes of the first series are available on YouTube with English subtitles. 

Little Shark’s Day Out creator Penguin Box also posted another collaboration webcomic featuring both Kozame-chan and Chibi Godzilla.

Kana Hanazawa voices Kozame-chan and also performs the anime’s main ending theme “Yorimichi.” 

The short web anime is based on a digital manga by Penguin Box that was first posted on Twitter in June 2021. It was later published in Enterbrain’s Aokishi magazine on October 20, 2021 under the Kitora imprint. Four tankobon volumes have been released in total as of October 2023. 

Little Shark’s Day Out (also known in Japan as Odekake Kozame) follows the everyday adventures of a little shark named Kozame-chan, who experiences several heartwarming experiences in the town of Yauo. 

The second season of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again has been released weekly since April 3, 2024. The sequel series of shorts are airing as part of the “Oha! Star” TV program. The first season was broadcasted for a total of 13 episodes from April 1, 2023 to June 24, 2023.

Taketo Shinkai (Anime Kaisha de Hanasu Koto ka yo) is directing the second season of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again, with illustrator Chiharu Sakazaki (Chibi Godzilla designer) as character designer. Pie in the sky is in charge of the animation production for the series, which Shinkai co-founded and is involved as creative director.

Previous episodes of the series are available to watch on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel with English subtitles. TOHO Animation describes the series as:

A little robotic monster washes up upon the shore and is given an extra warm greeting by a very special local. Who, or what, awaits him in this strange new land…?
