#Listen to Hoshimachi Suisei’s Vocals in Trapezium Movie’s Opening Scene

Aniplex has released the first few minutes of Trapezium, the upcoming anime movie adaptation of the novel by ex-Nogizaka46 member Kazumi Takayama.

The movie opens with the hazy but colorful visualization of a stage performance, before returning to reality and dollying out from main heroine Yu Azuma. After a couple of minutes that emphasize Yu’s solitary state, she disembarks from the train she’s riding in, and the movie presently starts its TV anime-style opening animation sequence. The song that accompanies this portion is the theme song “Nanmonai” from MAISONdes feat. Hoshimachi Suisei, sakuma

Trapezium will start to screen in Japan on May 10. In the story, Yu, a high school student, has her sights set on becoming an idol and imposes four conditions on herself in order to achieve her goal.

Takayama penned the Trapezium novel while she was still with the Nogizaka46 idol group. It was serialized in KADOKAWA’s Da Vinci from 2016 to 2018. A bunkoban version illustrated by Tae was released in 2018.
