Marissa Nadler, Real Estate’s Martin Courtney, Christian Lee Hutson, and Kevin Devine are among the artists to have contributed to a new Elliott Smith covers compilation, as Stereogum points out. The project was spawned after Francis Lung (formerly of Wu Lyf) teamed with La Blogothèque and My Favorite Elliott Smith Song to livestream a charity tribute concert last summer. Some of those artists and a few others went on to record the covers you can hear on this compilation. Downloads benefit LGBTQ+ charities AKT, the Audre Lorde Project, and GIRES.
