“#LiSA’s Demon Slayer Film Theme Song Dominates Billboard JAPAN’s Anime Song Charts for 2021”

Billboard JAPAN announced the top 10 list of its annual “HOT Animation” anime song charts for 2021 today. No surprise, the first place went to “Homura” by LiSA, the theme song of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train. Last year’s No.1 song was “Gurenge,” the OP theme for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime series also sung by LiSA.

The song was released from SACRA MUSIC on October 14, 2020, and has sold a total of 289,623 copies, the most of any single in her career. It ranked No.1 in download, No.1 in karaoke, No.1 in video playback, No.1 in look-up, No.2 in streaming, No.3 in CD sales, No.3 in Twitter, and No.4 in radio. Meanwhile, “Gurenge” ranked sixth this year, making it into the Top 10 for the third year in a row.
