Lil Baby is getting his summer 2022 campaign started early with a double dose of new music. Shortly after declaring “this summer’s mine,” the Atlanta rapper returned on Friday (April 8) with two new singles: “Right On” and “In a Minute.”

First previewed by Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards on Instagram last November, “Right On” hears Lil Baby indulging in women, running up his bank balance and echoing JAY-Z and Nipsey Hussle‘s financial advice over hard-hitting production from ATL Jacob.

“I just hit the woman of my dreams with another bitch/I done scratched ten million off my bucket list/I’m never on no sucker shit/My city stand behind me, that’s why I love this shit/Buildin’ up for my kids’ kids’ kids, I ain’t gon’ never quit/Investin’ my money in all type of shit, ownership,” he raps.

The track comes complete with a video directed by Shaq Gonzoe, which shows the 4PF boss bringing the song’s hook to life and literally sliding his Rolls-Royce through the hood (a fleet of them, in fact).

Applying even more pressure on the competition, “In a Minute” captures Lil Baby in a more introspective mood as he reflects on his hard-earned journey from the trenches to the top of the rap game.

Jealous friends and homies caught up in the system weigh on The Hero’s mind, but his lavish lifestyle — which includes buying a house just to store his cash and sharing the stage with Billie Eilish — makes being “the golden child” worth the headaches and heartache.

Built around a sample of Drake and JAY-Z‘s “Pound Cake” from 2013’s Nothing Was the Same, “In a Minute” is also accompanied by a music video that chronicles Lil Baby’s high-flying lifestyle, complete with cameos from 42 Dugg, Moneybagg Yo and DJ Clue.

“Right Now” and “In a Minute” serve as Lil Baby’s first solo offering in over a year. The Atlanta native has been kept busy by a slew of collaborations, though, including his chart-topping The Voice of the Heroes album with Lil Durk, his “Do We Have a Problem?” and “Bussin” singles with Nicki Minaj, and his appearance on Kanye West‘s “Hurricane,” which just recently earned him his first Grammy Award.

Baby can afford to share the spotlight. Last month, his 2020 project My Turn became the longest-running album in the top 10 of Billboard‘s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. My Turn has now spent over 85 weeks in the top 10, surpassing Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding.
