#Liar Liar Light Novels Get Anime Adaptation

An anime adaptation of the Liar Liar light novels has been announced in a special promotional video, which features Akari Kito narrating as the character Sarasa Saionji. According to the announcement, work on the anime project is already underway. 

Due to the timing of the announcement, a tweet by the Liar Liar Twitter page stated that it was not an April Fool’s joke.

The MF Bunko J light novel series is written by Haruki Kuou with illustrations by konomi. The first volume was published in 2019, while the seventh volume was published on March 25. 

Kadokawa (as translated by MyAnimeList) describes the story as:

At Academy Island, everything is settled through “Games” waged for a certain number of stars, with the strongest student being granted the ranking of Seven Stars. Hiroto, a transfer student, unexpectedly beats the strongest empress and becomes the pseudo-strongest in the school! A mind game of lies and bluffs begins!
