Today, we’re going to be looking at a new webtoon that I came across called Leviathan, a story about a world engulfed in water, which naturally has spawned monsters from the depth below, hellbent on snacking on humanity!

Here’s a short synopsis:

The world is submerged, and sea monsters rule the earth. Will Bota and his family ever make it to safety, and escape this aquatic hell? …And who in the world is Kana?!

I did say short huh? The story is very interesting as we follow Bota and his sister trying to survive in their new world. The world is engulfed in water as far as the eye can see, and honestly, if you have a fear of the deep, you might want to steer clear of this webtoon. Not only will it trigger your Thalassophobia, but the monster in this webtoon are also damm near frightening too! I’ve only read about 20 chapters (it has over 200) but so far I have enjoyed my time with this webtoon. It is well written, and well-drawn too, the pacing isn’t bad and the atmosphere set in the webtoon really makes you feel the stakes at play when faced against the ocean. Especially fighting the monsters that reside in the ocean. As to be expected, there’s a special task force tasked to explore the old ruins and fight off the monsters for humanity’s survival.

It’s definitely worth the read if you want a good mystery and a good scare!
