#‘Legally Blonde’ Prequel Series a Go at Amazon
Reese Witherspoon is bringing a Legally Blonde series to Amazon’s Prime Video.
What, like it’s hard?
Amazon MGM Studios head Jennifer Salke, Witherspoon — and Bruiser the dog — announced a series order for the show Tuesday at its first-ever upfront presentation. The show, titled Elle, will tell the origin story of Elle Woods as a 1990s high schooler. It has been in the works since early April, with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (The O.C., Gossip Girl) executive producing alongside Witherspoon (via her Hello Sunshine banner).
Hello Sunshine has a history with Prime Vidoe, having previously produced Daisy Jones and the Six and the feature film Something From Tiffany’s for Prime Video.
