The video game side of the Sword Art Online franchise is getting a new action RPG titled Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, which will launch in 2023. A teaser trailer showing characters both familiar and new has been released.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will tackle the “War of Underworld” arc of the anime, but with some notable differences. Kirito and Eugeo are present for the battle with new outfits, and there are original characters in the form of the Dark Knight Dorothy and the young girl Sarai, who is escorted to the Human Empire by Dorothy.

The other characters featured on the game’s website include Asuna, Sinon, Leafa, Alice, Cardinal, Bercouli, Shasta, Lipia, Iskahn, and Dee Eye Ell. The voice actors for Dorothy and Sarai have not yet been revealed.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Steam. In addition to single player, the game will support co-op for up to four players.
