#Kylie Jenner Finally Explains The ‘Special’ Meaning Behind Her Matching Butterfly Tattoos With Travis Scott!

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott‘s romance might be on pause for the foreseeable future — but they’ll always have a permanent reminder of their precious family’s commitment to one another!

In her latest YouTube channel upload titled, “Rating My Halloween Costumes,” the KUWTK star reflected on some of her favorite festive looks through the years, while also sharing the “special” meaning behind the butterfly symbol that connects her and the Astroworld rapper, with whom she shares her 2-year-old daughter Stormi Webster.

The topic came up as the makeup mogul looked back on the time she and her toddler dressed up as mother-daughter butterflies for the spooky holiday in 2018; explaining why this wasn’t an arbitrary choice or last-minute idea, she said:

“When Travis and I first got together we got matching little butterfly tattoos. So a butterfly is just a symbol of our relationship and Stormi, so it was really special to do the butterfly costume.”

Awww, how sweet!

Aside from the symbol once being a popular tramp stamp choice at one point in time, people from different religions and cultures around the world view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life. It sounds like the former couple adopted it for their own special bond and as fans might’ve noticed, it’s been a recurring theme throughout their evolving relationship ever since.

Kylie and Travis got the pretty insect tattooed on each other’s bodies back in 2017 and that same year, Scott gifted his then-girlfriend a butterfly necklace for her 20th birthday. After the starlet revealed her secret pregnancy and newborn to the world a year later, Jenner shared that she decorated Stormi’s nursery with butterflies. At one point, prior to sharing her little one’s name, many fans were convinced the reality star had named her daughter after the insect, too!

But now we know the real reason behind the co-parents’ special ink and come to think of it, we should really be keeping our eyes peeled for anything butterfly-related in the near future that could serve as a sign the former power couple is back on! It was just a few short weeks ago in early October when they sparked reconciliation rumors with a sexy Instagram photoshoot.

Although the exes are committed to raising Stormi together, an E! News insider has since come forward and insisted that’s the extent of their connection right now. They divulged:

“They are just friends. There’s nothing going on with them. They got along well and are great at co-parenting. They spend time together and have figured out a system that works well for them.”
