#«Kuroko’s Basketball» Vol.3: Slam Dunk to Victory?

The third volume of the anime series “Kuroko’s Basketball” was released on January 29th. We took a look at the aftermath after half-time and tell you today whether it was a goal next to or in the basket …

Story & content (7/10)

The game against the second king, the Shutoku high school basketball team, with its invincible thrower from the miracle generation, Shintarou Midorima, is entering the decisive phase. Both sides don’t give each other anything and yet Seirin is faced with an unexpected challenge, because not only the members of the miracle generation have breathtaking techniques! Will you manage to hold your own against Shutoku and the incredible throws of Midorima?

Personaly thinking:

As I longingly expected, it continued just as quickly and excitingly. The miracle generation shows once again what they can do and that is not neglected. The episodes were provided with many exciting moments about Kuroko and his team. I have to honestly say that I’m a really big Taiga Kagami fan now. He shows exactly what he’s got in these episodes. I never would have thought that a series could flatten me so flat, but that’s exactly what happens here in this exciting anime. Now it’s the hot phase and we’re getting closer and closer to the finale of the first season. I am already very excited and look forward to what will come next …

Animations & Drawing Style (9/10)

I really like the drawing style and the animations. You can easily see its age in the following episodes as well, but this doesn’t detract from the visual performance. The scenes in the game but also next to the playing field are fluid and clear. The playing field scenes come into their own particularly well in the HD version. The animations are really very good for his age and of course I included this in the evaluation.

Musik & Soundtrack (8/10)

The Opening I like the first season very much. This is mainly due to the consistent rocking sound. Especially the strong guitar riffs provide goose bumps.

Also the Endingsong I like it. I think the rock sound goes very well with the anime.

German dubbing (9/10)

You notice again and again that you have put a lot of effort into the German setting. Not only the linguistic quality, but also the good selection of well-known speakers stands out from other series. I really like the selection of voices and so I have to say that the series is one of the publisher’s best settings.

Packaging & Extras (10/10)

The responsible publisher AniMoon instead of us with this volume again with a special edition that has it all. The third volume will contain two PANINI trading cards and a high-quality acrylic figure by Kasamatsu in a chibi look. As always, I can award 10 points in this category. The publisher does everything right here and offers the collector’s heart a beautiful edition for the shelf at home.
