The production team for the Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible anime has announced that the series will premiere sometime in January 2023. A new key visual featuring Akina Kubo, Nagisa Kubo, and Saki Kubo has also been released. 

In addition, they revealed that voice actresses Miku Itou and Sora Amamiya will join the voice cast as Akina Kubo and Saki Kubo respectively. The new cast members join Kana Hanazawa as Nagisa Kubo and Kengo Kawanishi as Junta Shiraishi.

Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend) is serving as director for Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible with Yuuya Takahashi (Selection Project) as series screenwriter scriptwriter, and Yoshiko Satou (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation co-sub character designer) as character designer. PINE JAM is in charge of the animation production. 

The television anime is based on a romantic comedy manga by Nene Yukimori, which was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine on October 24, 2019. Nine tankoubon volumes have been released as of May 2022, with a 10th volume due for release on September 16, 2022. It is published under the Young Jump Comics label.

When Kubo sits next to Shiraishi in their first year of high school, Shiraishi’s nonexistent social skills get a boost. Speaking up in class is only the beginning for Shiraishi—soon Kubo forces him to be noticed at school, at the bookstore, and all around town. Shiraishi’s once-lackluster life isn’t so dull anymore!
