KSM Anime Presents Date Details and Voiceover of Retro Anime «The Queen of 1000 Years»!

It’s been almost 10 months since KSM Anime the license to the anime classic “The Queen of a Thousand Years” announced. At that time, a release start was planned for the fourth quarter of 2022, which was delayed. The publisher has now announced details about the German release of “The Queen of 1000 Years”.

KSM Anime brings the anime in 2 volumes with 21 episodes each out of here. The first 21 episodes become in July 2023 on DVD and Blu-ray published. A date for the second volume has not yet been set. With the voice outputs, both the German synchronization as well as the Japanese audio track with subtitles give. For this DVD and Blu-ray release, KSM Anime has recreated the master from Toei’s 35mm negative film.

«The Queen of a Thousand Years» dates back to 1981 and was produced by the well-known studio Toei Animation (including «One Piece»). In March 1991, the broadcaster TELE 5 showed the anime on German television for the first time. A year later, the second and final broadcast of the series followed. Until now, the German version was practically “lost” because no other official home cinema release took place. The previous announcement of Pidax had to be canceled shortly after the announcement in early 2021.

One evening in March 1999, 14-year-old Hajime saw through his telescope a celestial body he had never seen before. This discovery has greater significance than the little astronomer can only imagine: a new planet has appeared in the heavens, which is heading directly for Earth.
