#The Shiunji Family Children Highlights Kotono in 7th New Character Visual
A seventh new daily character visual has been released for the upcoming The Shiunji Family Children TV anime series, highlighting the bashful Kotono Shiunji. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in 2025.
Ryoki Kamitsubo (Hidamari Sketch chief director, Softenni director, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Episode 3 and 7 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime, with Noboru Kimura (Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture) as series screenwriter and Miki Muto (OSHI NO KO Season 2 co- animation training director) as character designer and chief animation director. Akki, Ginnojo Hoshi, and Shota Horie are serving as music composers, while Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

- • Chika Anzai as Banri Shiunji
- • Marika Kono as Seiha Shiunji
- • Rie Takahashi as Oka Shiunji
- • Hana Hishikawa as Minami Shiunji
- • Kana Ichinose as Kotono Shiunji
- • Chiaki Kobayashi as Shion Shiunji
The Shiunji Family Children is based on the romantic comedy manga series of the same name by Rent-A-Girlfriend‘s Reiji Miyajima, with Reiji Yukino credited as co-artist. The series first debuted in Hakusensha’s Young Animal on February 25, 2022 and has released five tankobon volumes as of October 2024.
Yen Press releases the manga series in English, and describes the synopsis as:
The love between brother and sister. The love between man and woman. That which is most forbidden is most unyielding. The two sons and five daughters of the Shiunji family shine like brilliant gems, each with intelligence and beauty in equal measure. And with the pedigree of their wealthy father behind them, how could they not be the talk of the town? Eldest son Arata has spent his life being tossed around by the whims of his colorful sisters, yet a little teasing won’t stop him from valuing his family over anything and anyone else. But when his youngest sister turns fifteen, their father reveals a long-hidden secret of the Shiunji “siblings” and knocks Arata’s world off its axis…
