Korean open-world action RPG TAL: The Arcane Lands announced for consoles, PC

WEMADE MAX and MADNGINE, the studio behind the free-to-play action game NIGHT CROWS, have announced TAL: The Arcane Lands, a new AAA open-world action RPG slated for release on unspecified consoles and PC in 2027.

Developed on Unreal Engine 5, TAL: The Arcane Land is set in an original fantasy world, inspired by the Joseon Dynasty, overrun by otherworldly creatures. The protagonist and his companions will engage in real-time combat, strategically utilizing weapons, magic, and cooperation for a deep gameplay experience.

The “TAL” in the title represents the traditional Korean mask, while also alluding to a journey of transformation and awakening to escape a predetermined fate and an oppressed world. “The Arcane Land” emphasizes the nature of the world, which blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy in an unknown land filled magic and taboos.
