Today on the release day of its final eighth tankobon volume in Japan, Mogusu, the author of the romantic comedy manga Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui / Koikimo, posted a special illustration message to thank fans for their five-year support on her official Twitter account.
The manga was first posted on pixiv from January to October in 2015, and gained more than 3.5 million views. Thnaks to the great succsess, it was then serialized for 56 chapters on pixiv and Ichijinsha’s collaboration web comic streaming site comic POOL from June 2016 to March 2021. As of March 2021, its total circulation including digital edition has surpassed 1.2 million copies.
The author writes on Twitter, “Today, the final eighth volume is released. It is thanks to all of you who have supported me that I was able to continue drawing this far. Thank you so much for reading ‘Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui’ for almost five years!”

The manga’s TV anime adaptation is set to premiere on AT-X on April 5, 2021, then will also be simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS
Nomad (Dropkick on My Devil!) works on anime production with Naomi Nakayama (Orange series director) directing. Yuko Kakihara (Cells at Work!) serves as the series composition writer, alongside Mariko Fujita (URAHARA) as the anime character designer/chief animation director.

Synopsis:
