Kodansha USA has announced two new manga series licenses for September 2022 and will release them digitally across various platforms, including Bookwalker, Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, Nook, Kobo, izneo, and MyAnimeList among others. 

The first new license is the manga adaptation of The God-Tier Guardian and the Love of Six Princesses light novel series. The reincarnation fantasy harem rom-com is written by Touwa Akatsuki and illustrated by Hisashi Kakoyama, based on the light novels’ original character designs by Tetsubuta. 

The manga series was first serialized in Kodansha’s Suiyoubi no Sirius magazine on September 3, 2020. It will be released in English on September 6, 2022. The series is described as: 

In order to stay by the side of his liege, Arsmeria, the devoted knight Vance chose to reincarnate with her a thousand years into the future. In his new life he’s known as Lloyd, the foster son of Countess Myuria and the wielder of colorless magic. But Lloyd has kept his memories of his past life and of his quest, and when he finds that Arsmeria’s reincarnated soul has been divided into six parts and spread amongst many, he realizes he’s got his work cut out for him!

The second new license is Yousuke Nakamaru’s Edo period martial arts battle manga Gamaran. The manga was serialized in Kodansha’s weekly Shounen Magazine from May 27, 2009 to June 26, 2013. 22 total tankoubon volumes have been released. The series will be released in English on September 20, 2022. 

A sequel manga titled Gamaran: Shura began serialization on the Magazine Pocket app since March 7, 2018.  

The synopsis of the manga is described as: 

Unabara Domain—home to nightmarishly strong students and masters of martial arts of all kinds. The lord of the Unabara has decided that whichever of his sons discovers the strongest martial arts style will be his heir, but when 28th son Naoyoshi Washizu decides on Ogama-style practitioner Gama Kurogane, son of notorious father and scion of a “weak” style, to represent him, the odds seem bleak. But between Naoyoshi’s determination and Gama’s hard-earned strength, they may yet come out on top!
