Kodansha USA announced that it has licensed Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki‘s My Home Hero manga series for digital publication in North America, beginning February 28, 2023. 

The original manga was first serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine on May 29, 2017 under the Young Maga KC Special label. Nineteen tankoubon volumes have been released as of January 2023. 

The manga is also inspiring a television anime series that is set to premiere in April 2023. Tezuka Productions is in charge of the animation production, and it will be streamed worldwide, outside of Japan, on Crunchyroll. 

The voice cast of My Home Hero includes Junichi Suwabe as Tetsuo Tosu, Sayaka Oohara as Kasen Tosu, Chihiro Shirata as Reika Tosu, Kento Itou as Kyoichi Majima, Keita Tada as Nobuto Matori, Rumi Ookubo as Hibiki, Akio Ootsuka as Kubo, Kouichi Yamadera as Shino, Katsuhiro Tokuishi as Takeda, and Mitsuhiro Sakamaki as Bin Tabata.

Kodansha USA describes the manga series as: 

Tetsuo Tosu is a typical father whose biggest worries are his job and his rebellious daughter, Reika. That is, until he finds a bruise on her face. His worst fears come true when he finds out she has a secret boyfriend…and he’s part of a crime ring that’s using her to steal her grandparent’s wealth. If that wasn’t bad enough, the thug catches Tetsuo snooping around and threatens to kill Reika as soon as she gets home. Fueled by fatherly instincts, Tetsuo murders the man…only for his wife to walk in and witness what he’s done.
