Kodak Black was ordered to a rehab facility in September after failing a drug test, a violation of the terms of his supervised release in his federal gun case. But Cohen says he’s taking his sobriety seriously and wants to get back to touring and making good music. He already made his first post-rehab appearance at Rolling Loud California earlier this month before heading back to his home state of Florida.
The 24-year-old Floridian was arrested at Rolling Loud Miami in 2019 on firearm charges and sentenced to two to seven years in prison.
But as one of Donald Trump’s final acts in the Oval Office, Kodak was granted a commutation and allowed to leave United States Penitentiary, Thomson in Illinois just days later.
As part of Kodak’s supervised release conditions, he’s often subjected to random drug tests. But on two separate occasions, he tested positive for both marijuana and ecstacy (MDMA), hence the 90 days in rehab.
