#Kingdom Season 5 Drops Main Visual and More Cast Info

Next January’s Kingdom Season 5 has gotten a main visual, which features Eisei, Kanki, and Shin on one side and three Zhao leaders on the other.

The visual was accompanied by the news that the voice actors for the Zhao characters are Toshiyuki Morikawa (as Ri Boku), Daisuke Hirakawa (as Kei Sha), and Kouji Ishii (as Ki Sui). Morikawa and Hirakawa are reprising their roles, while Ishii and Kisui are new additions to the Kingdom anime.

Kingdom is based on the Shueisha-published Warring States period-set manga by Yasuhisa Hara, which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2006 and hit 69 tankoubon volumes in July 2023. The first season of the anime premiered in 2012, while the fourth season debuted in 2022. Crunchyroll describes the anime as:

Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They dream of proving themselves on the battlefield until the day Hyou is captured by a minister. The boy manages to escape and return to his village, but he is badly injured. Shin then meets a mysterious youth who bears an eerie resemblance to Hyou—a boy who will one day become emperor!

The Kingdom manga has also inspired live-action film adaptations, the third of which premiered in Japan on July 28.
