#Kazuyki Okitsu Joins the Cast of How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom TV Anime

A new cast member has been revealed for How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom (known in Japan as Genjitsushugi Yusha no Oukoku Saikenki), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of isekai fantasy light novels written by Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki about a pragmatic young man who is summoned to another world in order to rule a nation.

In How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, voice actor Kazuyuki Okitsu plays Hakuya Kuonmin (pictured below), a capable counselor of the Kingdom of Elfrieden. Hakuya is known as the “Prime Minister in Black Clothes”.

The original How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom light novels are published in Japan by Overlap under their Overlap Bunko imprint. An English language version of the series is available in digital format from J-Novel Club and in print from Seven Seas Entertainment. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story of the series as follows:

Summoned to another world to slay the mighty beast…of governance!

When the aggressively pragmatic Kazuya Souma is summoned to another world as a hero, he’s not given a quest–he’s given a kingdom to rule. On top of that, he’s betrothed to the previous king’s daughter! To get the country back in order, Souma gathers a group of gifted individuals to his side. The How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom TV anime is directed by Takashi Watanabe and features animation production by J.C. Staff. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2021.
