One day after the 23-year-old golfer claimed the PGA Championship title, Zhu, 24, congratulated her boyfriend of three years on Monday with a touching Instagram post.
“You continue to amaze me every single day,” Zhu began. “I am so happy to see you accomplish a goal that you’ve worked so hard for! I am so proud of you! Congratulations bby @collin_morikawa.”
Morikawa stunned the golf community on Sunday after making an epic drive on the 16th hole, becoming the fourth golfer to win the PGA Championship before the age of 24.
“I’ve believed in myself since Day 1,” Morikawa said.
After winning the tournament, Morikawa and Zhu, a fellow golfer and Pepperdine Univesity alum, posed with the Wanamaker Trophy.
“Gratitude. To my family, friends, and the people who believe in me, I simply want to say thank you. We did it!” Morikawa wrote Monday on Instagram. “But we’re not stopping here, let’s keep this going.”
