Kanye West has been locked out of his accounts on Instagram and Twitter following a series of antisemitic posts. Representatives for both platforms have separately confirmed West’s suspension to Buzzfeed and NBC News. The FADER has reached out to Kanye West’s representative for more information.

In his first posting on Saturday, West shared text messages between Diddy and himself in which West suggested that the rap mogul was being controlled by Jewish people. “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me,” he wrote in the post captioned “Jesus is Jew.”

Instagram removed the post and restricted his account, which led West to return to Twitter for the first time since the 2020 election. He suggested that Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Instagram’s parent company Meta, was directly responsible for his suspension, and shared a photo of himself with Zuckerberg.

On Saturday evening, West tweeted the following: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

The tweet was removed by the platform and replaced with the message “This tweet violated the Twitter Rules,” with Twitter confirming in a statement to Buzzfeed that West’s account had been locked “due to a violation of Twitter’s policies.”

This week, Kanye West was criticized by advocacy groups for remarks made during an interview with Tucker Carlson. West suggested that Jared Kushner, a Jewish man who was an advisor to President Donald Trump, negotiated treaties between the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain for financial gain. The interview took place after West debuted a White Lives Matter shirt during his Yeezy Season 9 show in Paris to much criticism.
