Kaiten Books Licenses Munakata’s Two Months Left to Live in Another World Manga Series

Kaiten Books has announced that it has licensed the Two Months Left to Live in Another World manga series. The digital version of the first volume will debut on May 23, 2025, with pre-orders now available on several online retailers.

Two Months Left to Live in Another World was first launched as a web manga on Munakata’s Twitter/X account on March 4, 2021. It was then serialized on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website on September 30, 2021 and has released four tankobon volumes so far. 

A paperback release of the manga will be announced at a later date. 

Synopsis: 

Octogenarian Kaichi Takemura is a master of aiki-jutsu, a martial art that specializes in redirecting physical force.

Alas, time soon catches up with the spry old man, as do the perils of an aging body. With a terminal cancer diagnosis and only two months left to live, Kaichi stares out from the hospital with nothing to do but wait for the end of an unfulfilling life… Until the moment he coughs, blinks, and finds himself transported across dimensions along with his resident nurse! 

This strange new realm of vicious beasts, experience points, and “skills” is confusing at first, but as he soon finds his body regaining its strength… He realizes it might be just what the doctor ordered!

Thus begins Kaichi’s turbulent, monster-tossing, death-defying adventure in another world!

The company also announced that the first digital manga volume of Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! will be available as a free ebook from April 25, 2025 to May 9, 2025 on Google Play, Apple Books, Kobo, and more retailers. The offer was announced in celebration of the series’ upcoming TV anime adaptation in July 2025. 

The digital version of Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! Volume 4 is now available, with Volume 5 set for release later this Summer 2025. 

Additionally, Avex Pictures is featuring chapters from the first volume in English dubbed episodes, as part of its “Moving Manga” series. The first two chapters have already been released and are currently available on the Anime Times official YouTube channel. 

Lastly, the company also confirmed that the 12th volume of the Loner Life in Another World manga adaptation will be released in late June 2025.
