The gang from Shuchiin Academy is back for a three-mini episode KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR OVA on May 19, 2021. The OVA, which was announced alongside the third season of the TV anime, will be released with the 22nd volume of the hit manga series by Aka Akasaka, the official Twitter account for the manga franchise announced today. The tweets also revealed the series has printed and sold over 14 million copies!

The OVA will only be available with the limited edition version of the 22nd volume, which is up for pre-order right now in Japan until March 25. Both season three of KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR and the OVA was announced back in October 2020, so it's nice to see something come of the announcement so soon!

Season one of the KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR TV anime aired from January 12, 2019, to March 30, 2019, with Crunchyroll streaming the first season as it aired, and the second season airing from April 11, 2020, to June 27, 2020. Funimation and its affiliate companies exclusively streamed the second season.
