#KADOKAWA’s Manga & Light Novel Library Reopens with 35,000 Books

KADOKAWA Culture Promotion Foundation held a renewal ceremony for the Manga & Light Novel Library on July 8, 2021, at Kadokawa Musashino Museum (KADOKAWA Culture Museum) in Tokorozawa Sakura Town, Saitama Prefecture.

As “the best library in Japan for reading light novels,” the library opened on August 1, 2020. It initially held about 25,000 volumes, including almost all of KADOKAWA’s light novels, selected comics, and children’s books.

As a result of the increase in the number of books in its collection, the renovation of the building’s interior decorations and shelves in accordance with the Light Novel Archive Project, as well as the cooperation of publishers other than KADOKAWA, the collection has increased by 10,000 volumes to about 35,000 volumes. Now, 18 Japanese publishers are cooperating with this world’s largest light novel library. If you are a researcher of Japanese light novels, this is the must-go place for you!
