After months of anticipation from music lovers, MTV has finally unveiled its list of nominees for the 2021 Video Music Awards in New York City.

“The #VMAs are back and the Moonperson awards are ready,” MTV News posted on Twitter Wednesday.

Leading the pack is pop superstar Justin Bieber, who received a mind-boggling seven VMA nods. The Biebs’ smorgasbord of noms included Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and Best Direction for “POPSTAR” and Best Pop song, Best Editing and Best Collaboration for “Peaches.”

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is galloping close behind with six nominations, including Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for her controversial single “WAP,” which the hip-hopper collaborated on with Cardi B. The 26-year-old Texan also notched her second consecutive Best Hip-Hop Song nom for her work on Lil Baby’s “On Me (The Remix).”

Duking it out for Music Video of the Year, along with “POPSTAR” and “WAP,” will be “Kiss Me More” from Doja Cat ft. SZA, Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits,” Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears.”
