This in turn changed into the body of the girl he had previously dreamed of every night. In Mitsuha’s body he wakes up in the mountains in the morning. While the first experiences still feel quite strange for both of them, structure soon comes to the body swap by recording their respective experiences on the smartphone. But suddenly the contact breaks off and Taki sets off in search of the unknown mountain town in order to get to know Mitsuha personally. On the way to each other, it gradually becomes clear that the two are connected through space and time. Something will happen, but neither Mitsuha nor Taki can know what a cataclysmic event is rushing towards them from space.
