The season Jujutsu Kaisen Anime is set to air for two consecutive cours. It will adapt the captivating storylines from the manga, specifically the “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” arc, which delves into Gojo’s past and the thrilling “Shibuya Incident” arc.

1. Gojo’s Past Arc

This particular arc has been divided into two distinct arcs. The initial portion is referred to as the “Hidden Inventory” arc, while the latter half is known as the “Premature Death” arc.

i. Hidden Inventory Arc

The episodes currently airing are based on this manga arc. The main villain of this arc is Toji Fushiguro.
Even though he is not a major character, Toji plays a crucial role in this story. He doesn’t have any personal grudge against Gojo and Geto. However, he becomes an obstacle for them when he takes on a mission to kill Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel.

Fans who only watch the anime may not know this, but Toji is one of the most powerful characters in the entire series, despite not having any cursed energy.

How is Toji so powerful with no cursed energy?

Toji is an advanced version of Maki Zenin and was born with a special body called the Heavenly Restricted Body. He possesses extraordinary physical strength and speed, along with enhanced five senses that enable him to interact with curses like a sorcerer.

Toji relies on cursed tools as his weapons in battles, but he can’t carry them physically. Instead, he switches between various weapons during fights. To aid him in this, Toji has made a contract with a cursed spirit known as the “Inventory Curse.”

ii. Premature Death Arc

This arc is based on chapters 76, 77, 78, and 79 of the Manga. It happens one year after the Hidden Inventory arc.
Toji couldn’t save Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel Candidate, and ended up killing her. He also caused severe injuries to Satoru and Suguru, even though he didn’t possess any cursed energy.

This event had a deep impact on both Satoru and Suguru. and they began questioning their roles as sorcerers and their relationship with each other. Satoru decided to become stronger and more confident, while Suguru became disillusioned and developed a cynical attitude.

The real downfall of Geto Suguru in this arc

Suguru then met Yuki, a sorcerer who had a different perspective on jujutsu and travelled the world. Yuki shared her theory about cursed energy, explaining how it is influenced by the collective thoughts of humans.

She invited Suguru to join her in changing the world. Suguru agreed and accompanied Yuki to Africa, where they came across poachers hunting endangered animals.

Yuki taught Suguru to consider people’s circumstances and feelings before judging them solely based on their actions. This made Suguru start to believe that sorcerers were superior to non-sorcerers, and he thought killing non-sorcerers was the only path to evolution.

2. The Shibuya Incident Arc – Where the real deal happens!

The Shibuya Incident arc is the sixth arc in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. It revolves around the events of October 31, 2018, when a group of cursed spirits and curse users, led by Pseudo-Geto and Mahito, carried out a significant terrorist attack in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Their main objective was to trap Satoru Gojo, the most powerful sorcerer, inside a cursed object known as the Prison Realm. This arc features numerous battles and conflicts between the attackers and the jujutsu sorcerers who fought against them.

Many lives were lost and casualties occurred on both sides. However, since the Shibuya Incident is a crucial plot point, we won’t reveal any further details to avoid spoiling the story for you.
