“Attack on Titan Final Season Returns For Part 3, Reveals New Visual & Promo Trailer”

The production team for Attack on Titan Final Season has confirmed that a third and final part will premiere in 2023, marking 10 years since the first season aired. They commemorated the announcement with a new key visual and short promo trailer.

The 15-second trailer showcases the key visual, as well as the 2023 premiere date for part three. The new anime will presumably adapt the final chapters of the original Attack on Titan manga. The 12th and final episode of Part 2 aired on April 3, 2022 after an initial broadcast delay.

The main production team for Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 includes Yuuichirou Hayashi as director, Hiroshi Seko as scriptwriter, Tomohiro Kishi as character designer, and Daisuke Niinuma as chief animation director. Manabu Akita joins the team as another chief animation director for the anime series. Returning voice cast members from previous seasons have all reprised their respective roles.

WIT STUDIO produced the first three seasons of the anime, starting from 2013. MAPPA took over animation production for the Final Season installments. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime in North America as it aired in Japan.

Attack on Titan is based on Hajime Isayama’s manga series of the same name. It was first published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in 2009 before finishing in April 2021. The series has spawned various spinoff manga, novels, games, and a two-part live-action Japanese film series.

It’s been four years since the Scout Regiment reached the shoreline, and the world looks different now. Things are heating up as the fate of the Scout Regiment—and the people of Paradis—are determined at last. However, Eren is missing. Will he reappear before age-old tensions between Marleyans and Eldians result in the war of all wars?
